The Embassy of the Philippines in Ankara, Türkiye, is currently looking for qualified candidates for the Temporary Position of Embassy Translator/Interpreter on a 3-month contract from September to November 2022.
The main responsibilities of the position are as follows:
- Provide interpretation and translation services to the Embassy;
- Perform clerical tasks to support the Embassy’s programs, activities, and projects;
- Support the Embassy’s coordination with public and private Turkish authorities, other Embassies, and International Organizations, with timely communication and follow-ups of documents, meetings, and other official requests; and
- As instructed, research and assist in obtaining information on economic, political, cultural, consular, and labor-related matters/issues/topics.
Candidates must have the following qualifications:
- Fully bilingual in English and Turkish (oral and written);
- Four-year university degree, preferably in English Language and Literature, American Culture and Literature, International Relations, Political Science, Economics, English Translation, and Interpretation, or other relevant courses;
- At least two (2) years of relevant professional experience;
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, professionalism, motivation, dependability, flexibility, determination, and a strong work ethic;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; and
- Good moral character.
