Nearly 300 Filipinos in Istanbul, Turkey were served by the Philippine Embassy in Ankara in a consular mission held on 27 January 2019. The team rendered 154 ePassport services (82 passports renewed, 68 passports released and 4 passports extended); 48 Embassy IDs (26 Embassy ID applications and 22 Embassy IDs released), 47 notarizations (26 acknowledgements and 21 authentications), 2 civil registrations (1 Report of Birth; 1 Report of Marriage), 2 Certifications and 1 NBI application.
During the mission, the Embassy also attended the 2nd anniversary of Kabalikat Civicom 13000 Turkey Chapter based in Istanbul. As a civic organization, Kabalikat Civicom promotes the bayanihan spirit in the Filipino Community in Turkey. More so, the members of the organization positively contributes to the development of the Filipino community in Istanbul anchored on the values of service to others, and imbued with professional and discipline.
