Monday, 11 March 2019 - The Philippine Embassy in Ankara, Turkey proudly joins the celebration of the National Women’s Month at a flag-raising ceremony held on 11 March 2019. Chargé d’ Affaires, Enrique Voltaire G. Pingol highlighted the value of women empowerment in today’s world and recognized their valuable contribution to society.
Meeting of the Ankara Filipino Community Leaders at the Embassy
8 and 10 March 2019 - The Philippine Embassy in Ankara hosted a meeting for the Ankara-based Filipino Community Leaders at the Embassy premises on 8 and 10 March 2019. The meeting is an actual demonstration of women making change work as they discuss their Programs and Projects among themselves as part of their commitment being the Officers of the newly established Ankara Sports Committee.
Photo Exhibit of Filipina Trail-blazers, Decision-makers, Leaders and Advocates
On its 5th run, the "Filipina: Trail-blazers, Decision-makers, Leaders and Advocates” Photo Exhibit is an evolving collection of historical and modern Filipino women who have excelled in their respective fields. The showcase is aimed at inspiring younger generations of Filipino nationals and other nationalities to emulate the life and work of earlier generations of strong and resilient Filipino women who have effected change in the Philippines and across the globe.
The exhibit is available for viewing at the consular area of the Embassy.
On 24 March 2019, the exhibit will be brought to Istanbul and be displayed the whole day during the monthly consular mission.
