The Philippine Embassy in Ankara including its Office of the Defense and Armed Forces Attache (ODAFA) with Col. Benedict D. Balaba as Defense Attaché meets with the high-level delegation of Philippine defense officials in Ankara.
The delegation’s official trip to Turkey will discuss greater defense cooperation with counterpart officials from the Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB) and the Turkish Aerospace Industries, Inc. (TAI).
The visit’s main agenda is the country’s current biggest defense procurement with Turkey: the Attack Helicopter Acquisition Project (AHAP). Also, the delegation will meet with defense companies in Ankara and Istanbul and visit their sites.
The delegation is led by the Hon. Undersecretary Arthur Tabaquero, Presidential Adviser for Military Affairs with DND Assistant Secretary Rey Avilla and Philippine Air Force officials headed by Lt. Gen Allen Paredes, Commanding General. END
