27 November 2021, Baku – Filipinos in Azerbaijan had a day-long program with the Philippine Embassy in Ankara with the second consular outreach mission for 2021, which rendered passport renewal and notarial services. The day’s event was capped with a dialogue with Embassy officials. In the warm gathering filled with smiles and the community spirit, Filipinos shared stories about their work and other experiences in Azerbaijan.
Ambassador Maria Elena P. Algabre was accompanied by Minister and Consul General Enrique Voltaire Pingol and other Embassy officials in the program held in Azerbaijan’s capital of Baku on 27 November 2021.

Filipinos in Azerbaijan proudly conveyed their delight and thrill, together with their employers, to see on the local newspapers and television reports the Philippine Ambassador’s presentation of credentials to Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev earlier in the week.
In the dialogue, Filipinos also welcomed the information on the Philippine Embassy’s consular and Assistance-To-National (ATN) services and the results of discussions in Baku with Azerbaijan’s high-level government officials, especially with state migration.
There are an estimated 600 Filipinos in Azerbaijan under the jurisdiction of the Philippine Embassy in Turkey, with the Philippine Ambassador accredited on a non-residence basis from Ankara. END
