ANKARA, 07 March 2022 – Visitors to the 5th TRAVELEXPO Ankara (TEA), the largest tourism fair in Turkey’s capital, held from 3 to 6 March 2022 experienced why It’s More Fun in the Philippines at the country’s booth mounted by the Philippine Embassy in Turkey.
Philippine Ambassador to Turkey, Maria Elena P. Algabre, led the Embassy team in the four-day promotion of the Philippines as a tourism destination with country’s borders now open since 10 February to fully-vaccinated international travelers, including those from Turkey.
The Embassy booth featured the Department of Tourism’s (DOT) promotional videos of the country’s globally-renowned beaches and dive destinations on a LED billboard. The visuals attracted nearly 400 visitors, who took souvenir photos with the #itsmorefuninthephilippines photo frame. The Filipino sorbetes in the traditional flavors of ube, mango, pandan and macapuno served by the Embassy’s Mamang Sorbetero in a Philippine ice cream cart added flavor and fun, which further drew the visitors’ interest.

It’s More Fun in the Philippines tumblers were handed out as well.

To cap the Filipino fun at the fair, members of the Filipino community performed the Malong and Tinikling on the event’s final day to the thrill and excitement of the guests.
