ADANA, 01 April 2022 – Philippine Ambassador to Turkey Maria Elena P. Algabre had separate calls on Governor Süleyman Elban and Mayor Seydan Keralar of Adana, Turkey, during her first visit to the province for the 10th International Orange Blossom Festival held on 24-25 March 2022.
Ambassador Algabre expressed her pride and excitement to Governor Elban and Mayor Keralar for the Philippine Embassy’s first participation in the International Orange Blossom Festival, which is a valuable way of knowing more about Adana, its people and its culture. She expressed interest in exploring economic cooperation between the Philippines and Adana, noting that Adana has vibrant industrial and agricultural sectors. With a rich history and continuing engagements with different peoples and cultures since the ancient time, Adana also offers opportunities for people-to-people exchanges.
