ANTALYA, 9 May 2022 — The Philippine Embassy in Ankara conducted a two-day consular outreach from 07 to 08 May 2022 in the resort seaside city of Antalya in southern Turkey as part of its continuing series of consular missions for the year.

The Embassy team provided various consular services, which include passport applications and renewals, processing of reports of birth and marriage, and dual citizenship applications, while Embassy officials deputized by the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) conducted mobile voting for land and sea-based overseas voters for the 2022 National Elections.

Ambassador to Turkey Maria Elena P. Algabre also held a meeting with nearly forty (40) members from the Filipino community in Antalya to inform them of the Embassy’s consular and mobile voting services.  Also present at the meeting was Atty. Alejandro A. Padaen, Labor Attaché of the Philippine Embassy in Beirut, Lebanon, who explained to the community members the various rights of overseas workers.

The consular outreach in Antalya is part of the Embassy’s mission to bring efficient and timely consular services closer to Filipinos in Turkey outside Ankara who are unable to travel to the Embassy. ##
