ANKARA, 18 July 2022 – The Philippine Embassy in Ankara joined the Filipino community on Sunday, 17 July 2022, to celebrate Barrio Fiesta 2022 organized by the Pinoy in Ankara Community at the Meryem Ana Catholic Church grounds.

The event, which promoted community spirit, was attended by around 80 participants from Filipino community organizations in Ankara, with some of their Turkish friends.  The participants enjoyed Filipino song and dance numbers, drama skits, and traditional games such as pukpok palayok (hit a pot); Filipino street food including beef and chicken barbecue, lumpia (spring rolls), puto rice cakes; and refreshments such as buko pandan (coconut with pandan leaves jelly drink). ##
