ANKARA, 08 September 2022 - The Philippine Embassy in Ankara welcomed the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) officials based in Beirut, Lebanon, and accredited to Tűrkiye on their official visit to Ankara on 08 September 2022 to render labor-related services at the Embassy.
The POLO-OWWA provided services to twenty-four (24) Filipinos from Ankara and Istanbul, which included verification of employment contracts for Balik Manggawa (household service and skilled workers) and processing of OWWA memberships.

Atty. Alejandro Padaen, non-resident Philippine Labor Attaché to Tűrkiye, invited the applicants to attend an online orientation to be conducted by POEA on the POPS-BaM, POEA’s Online Processing System for Balik Manggagawa, on 18 September 2022 via zoom details: Meeting ID: 894 9308 6335, Passcode: 970235 (Flyer attached). POPS-BAM is the online system, replacing the previous portal bm.online where Balik Manggagawa or returning workers may apply for an Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC).
