Philippine Ambassador to Türkiye Maria Elena P. Algabre met with Prof. Dr. Mehmet Cahit Güran, Rector of Hacettepe University on 06 October, to explore potential collaboration with Philippine universities.  Hacettepe University is internationally recognized for its research focusing on medicine and health sciences , and offers non-medical courses/programs such as economics, social sciences, music, arts, and engineering.  There is currently one Filipino YTB (Türkiye Burslari-Turkish Scholarship Program) scholar, studying medicine at the university.
