ANKARA, 21 October 2022 — The Philippine Embassy in Ankara, through Minister and Consul General Juan E. Dayang, Jr. met with the Deputy Mayor of Mamak Municipality in Ankara, Mr. Mehmet Düğmeci on 20 October 2022. They discussed cooperation between the Philippines and Türkiye, through the Municipality of Mamak, especially in the field of culture and development.

The Embassy lauds Mamak’s cultural events and activities for its constituents, comprised mostly of homemakers and children, especially its short courses on handicrafts and arts, as well as the book delivery project of the municipality for those unable to visit libraries.

The Embassy expressed interest in collaborating with Mamak on various events and activities to forge stronger people-to-people relations between Filipinos and Turks.##
