ANKARA, 07 February 2023 – The Philippine Embassy in Ankara joins the Republic of Türkiye and other foreign diplomatic missions in mourning the loss of lives for the devasting earthquake that hit the southeastern part of the country on 06 February 2023. The Philippine flag at the Embassy will fly at half-mast until sunset on Sunday, 12 February 2023.

Our deepest condolences goes out to the families and loved ones of all those affected in Kahramanmaraş, Gaziantep, Hatay, Osmaniye, Adıyaman, Malatya, Şanlıurfa, Adana, Diyarbakır, and Kilis.

As of writing, at least 3,381 people were killed and 20,426 others injured in the 10 provinces. There are no reported Filipino casualties.##
