Ankara, 04 May 2023-- The Philippine Embassy participated in the Gala Night of National Sovereignty and Children’s Day on 28 April 2023, the culmination of a week-long celebration of Türkiyé’s important holiday. The event, organized by Çankaya Municipality, highlighted the cultural performances of participating Embassies, including the Philippines’ traditional Tinikling dance, performed by the members of the Filipino community in Ankara.

The occasion was attended by municipality officials, the diplomatic community, and other guests, including Cankaya’s Mayor Mr. Alper Taşdelen as the guest of honor. Kindergarten students of Çankaya Municipality performed the national anthem of Türkiye. The event was dedicated to children both in Türkiye and throughout the entire world.
