30 JANUARY 2024, ANKARA – The Philippine Embassy in Ankara joined the members of the ASEAN Ladies Circle (ALC) in a visit to Memorial Ankara Hospital on 25 January 2024, organized by the ALC executive committee and hospital administrators and officials. The ALC is comprised female ASEAN diplomats and wives of ASEAN diplomats based in Ankara, Türkiye.

The ALC delegation, headed by Madame Waraporn Sugondhabhirom and spouse of the Ambassador of Thailand, was welcomed by Ms. Tuba Eski, Deputy Director; Dr. Cengiz Çavuşoğlu, Director of the International Patients Department; and staff of the Memorial Ankara Hospital.

The visit included a tour of Memorial Hospital to learn about the world-class healthcare services and facilities of the hospital. ALC Members also gave gifts to the children in the pediatric ward. This was a unique opportunity for the ALC members to discover the latest advancements in medical technology and the healthcare industry. The hospital administrators shared the hospital’s operations for the ALC to share these innovations to the citizens of their respective countries. Further, the visit was of great importance to the ASEAN countries and Türkiye to continue to strengthen the ASEAN-Türkiye relationship in various fields including healthcare.
The ALC members expressed their gratitude for the warm welcome and hospitality extended to them during their visit. END
