ANKARA, 06 December 2024 – The Philippine Embassy in Ankara participated in the ASEAN Day celebration on 05 December 2024 at the Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University (AHBVU) on 05 December 2024. The Embassy booth shared Filipino Christmas traditions and the cultural performances with the audience.

The Philippine booth exhibited cultural items and traditional holiday decorations which included a Christmas tree, miniature parol lanterns, and miniature jeepneys. 

Guests at the booth, mostly Turkish and international university students, took the opportunity to view books and brochures on Philippine tourism destinations, and enjoyed beloved Filipino food such as pancit and fried lumpia spring rolls with chicken and vegetables.

Members of the Filipino community also wowed the audience with their colorful costumes and performance of the Sinulog festival dance in the afternoon. END.
